Regulation (EU) No 453/2010 amending the REACH Regulation [download text] results in important changes of the Safety Data Sheet.

Annex II (Safety Data Sheet) of the REACH Regulation is adapted to the requirements of the CLP Regulation (EU GHS Regulation). The SDS structure, e.g. the list of mandatory information, is specified more in detail. These specifications of content are fixed in two annexes of this regulation:

• Annex I describes structure and content for the transition period until the mandatory application of GHS classification and labeling also for mixtures.
• Annex II describes the "final layout" after expiration of all transition periods.

These changes will become mandatory 1st December 2010, and that for both substances and mixtures. This regulation establishes further implemention deadlines.
