HSM is the Hazardous Substance Management module for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (= BCl; in the cloud, on premise, SaaS, IaaS) and NAV. It ensures the highest level of integration into the existing BC/NAV solutions especially for the chemical industry and is also used in combination with other ERP systems.
HSM contains substance database, formulation management and calculation modules for mixtures regarding hazardous substance classification and labelling, dangerous goods classification, etc., as well as functions for the generation and dispatch of documents, in particular for the Safety Data Sheet according to REACH Regulation.
HSM contains (among others)
- Substance database with basic substance and dangerous goods data
- Formulation management and transfer from production BOMs, production structures or development recipes
- Classification and labelling calculation according to GHS
- Safety Data Sheet (SDS), also Extended SDS (eSDS) and other documents
- Module for automated PCN transmission via S2S interface to ECHA, formulation and notification status monitoring, UFI portfolio management
- Text modules (phrase catalogue in currently 32 languages)
- Generation of hazardous substance labels
- Automatic SDS dispatch with region related version management
- Dangerous goods classification and transport processing (transport documents according to ADR, IMO, IATA)
- Flow Chart Calculator (FCC) for any kind of rule set definitions
- Volume related evaluations, e.g. for REACH, hazardous substance inventory, Seveso III inventory
All kinds of evaluations and calculations
All kinds of rule sets for the Flow Chart Calculator (FCC) are represented in some few configuration tables. By FCC production and development recipes/formulations can be classified and evaluated in many ways. Examples:
- GHS classification for EU (CLP Regulation), USA, China
- VOC contents in accordance with Swiss incentive tax (VOCV)
- Compliance with application-related VOC limits according to Decopaint Directive
- Ingredient groups according to Detergents Regulation
- Heavy metal contents in accordance with EN 71-3
- MAL-Code for Denmark
All kinds of documents
The abstract data structures of HSM, for example properties and reports, are stored in standardized configuration tables. Therefore, specific substance properties or report structures for documents can be defined as needed. Trace One provides predefined standards, such as for
- Safety Data Sheet
- Workplace instruction
- Documentation of WGK mixture classification
Further kinds of documents can be defined according to the user’s specification or by the user himself. Examples:
- Declarations of conformity
- Technical data sheets (product data sheets)
- Certificates of analysis
